- Alumni who loved our Maine’s Downeast Explorer, Iceland Mountains & Coast, Golden State Adventure or Alaska Mountains & Coast programs and are looking for the next step;
- Alumni of Apogee hiking programs who love the Apogee community and traditions and are looking to expand on their backcountry skills or try a longer trip.

- Become one with the wilderness: Of all of our programs, NWX features the most time spent in the backcountry – with two nights in the Olympics, five nights in the North Cascades, and two nights in the San Juan Islands, you’ll have ample opportunity to experience the incredible peacefulness and group bonding time that comes with being in the backcountry.
- It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s a bald eagle!: You’ll spend a few days kayaking around the beautiful San Juan Islands in Puget Sound, surrounded by abundant wildlife and marine life. Together your group can keep an eye out for eagles, seals, red foxes, orcas, and more!
- Can you really fit all of this into one trip? It’s hard to believe, but over twenty days, you’ll hike in the Olympics and North Cascades National Parks, raft the Sauk river, and kayak in the San Juan Islands. The Pacific Northwest is a hub for all sorts of incredible outdoor activities and we want you to experience it all!
- Explore a historic public market: You’ll spend a day at the end of your trip exploring Seattle, experiencing world-famous Pike Place Market, and enjoying a celebratory dinner with your new friends.
