Day 44 – All Over But the Cryin’

Sam here, with the penultimate blog post of the summer season, as a wrap-up will come your way tomorrow.  We have four trips who spent their last full days day exploring their destination cities, and enjoying their final dinners of choice, before misty eyes and prospects of warm beds at home lead them on their separate ways.

NWX: They aren’t headed back to the backcountry anytime soon, but this crew made a quick stop at REI today to visit the flagship store.  Into Seattle, the group is enjoying lunch at Pike’s Market after a breakfast of pancakes and before a tasty dinner selected from the myriad options Seattle has to offer.  Despite the scrumptious offerings of the backcountry, sounds like this group has been quick to chow down on anything tasty around them now that they are back in civilization.

PCA: Having conquered Leggett Mt., the gang explored Lombard St (this time as pedestrians) to see how much worse it could have been. A trip to Union Square this afternoon has the group in great spirits before a delectable final dinner in China Town.

PCB: After a quick lunch at the hostel, Hannah and Shem’s crew headed out to explore San Francisco as much of the city as possible.  From Fisherman’s Wharf to a shopping trip in Haight Ashbury, all before their last big  dinner (also in China Town), these guys are seeing all the sights there are to be seen.

ACC2: Shunning technology for one last day before they return to the real world, this group preemptively sent us blog shots last night.  After breaking the least healthy tradition on ACC and getting local, tasty burgers at the famous Hodad’s surf shack instead of In ‘n Out (can’t go wrong either way), they headed over to Sunset Cliffs for A&P. Today was spent beaching and exploring before a tasty final meal.
