Day 2: You Say Goodbye and I Say Hello, Hello, Hello!

Skip to a Specific Trip: MCJ, CI, NEMCMCCE,

Maine Coast Junior (MCJ)

The first day of MCJ started out strong with lots of smiles and get-to-know-you games. Once everyone arrived, they all piled into the van to head to their first (of many) beautiful campgrounds in Brunswick, Maine. Here, they enjoyed a delicious meal and and are settling in for their first night under the New England stars. Sounds like MCJ is off to an amazing start and we can’t wait to hear what’s in store for their trip tomorrow!

Cape Cod & the Islands (CI)

After some goodbyes, our students quickly jumped into lots of new and exciting hellos! On the first day of CI, everyone got introduced to new friends and went over how to ride their trusty steed for the trip; their bike! Then, off they went! The group rode four miles to their camp ground in Falmouth, MA for some games and a tasty dinner. It’s was a perfect beginning to a sunny, adventure filled 9 days in the Cape!

New England Mountains & Coast (NEMC)

The wait is finally over! Students arrived today to meet their Apogee family and start their exciting NEMC adventure. After introductions and get-to-know-you games, the group headed over to their campsite in Durham, NH. Once arriving, students settled into their yurt for the night and fueled up on some scrumptious dinner. If this is just the first day, we can’t imagine what amazing adventures await them tomorrow.

Maine Coast College Essay (MCCE)

It’s day two for MCCE and they are just as excited as they were arriving yesterday! This morning, the group got to work editing and writing with Leah. They then traveled to Popham State Park where they dove into some cool, blue Atlantic water and ate some fantastic food in the hot Maine sunshine. After cooling down and watching the sunset from the beautiful coastline beach, the group headed back to their yurts for some essay reflection, dinner, and relaxing as an Apogee family. Tomorrow is going to be another fun and engaging day for these writers!
