Alaska Mountains & Coast (AKMC)
After days of exploring Alaska’s rugged landscapes, today brought an adventure unlike any other. Our AKMCers set out on a glacier tour, getting an up-close look at towering walls of ice before lacing up their crampons and trying their hand at ice climbing. From breathtaking views to Salmon right from the ocean to the thrill of climbing on a glacier, it was a day packed with unforgettable experiences and plenty of stories to bring home.

Iceland Mountains & Coast (IMC)
Today, this cool group made their way to Reykjavík, taking in the last stretches of Iceland’s incredible scenery as they traveled toward the capital. Once they arrived, the group enjoyed one final dinner together, reminiscing about glacier hikes, unforgettable landscapes, and all the adventures that made this trip so special. It was the perfect way to celebrate an incredible journey before heading home.

Maine Coast College Essay (MCCE)
Today, this awesome crew struck the perfect balance between creativity and adventure. The morning was spent in a writing workshop, where students continued developing their college essays and refining their personal stories. In the afternoon, everyone traded notebooks for paddles and headed out on the water for a kayaking adventure before returning to Treetops for a relaxing evening of writing, reflection, and sharing ideas. It was a day filled with both inspiration and exploration.

Maine Coast Junior (MCJ)
Today started bright and early for our MCJers group with a breathtaking sunrise hike in Acadia National Park. The peaceful morning, incredible views, and quiet moments on the trail made for a memorable start to the day. After hiking, the group headed into Bar Harbor to explore the charming downtown, grab a bite to eat, and cool off with an afternoon swim. It was the perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and classic Maine summer fun.

Maine’s Downeast Explorer (DEX)
Today was a bucket-list day for this awesome crew as they took on the iconic Katahdin in Baxter State Park! With every step, the group climbed higher, earning incredible views and celebrating one of Maine’s most legendary hikes. Reaching the summit was a true testament to their determination, teamwork, and adventurous spirit, making it a day they’ll be talking about long after the trip ends.

New England Mountains & Coast (NEMC)
Yesterday was Challenge Day for this incredible squad, so today was a bit more chill. After hiking through the stunning landscapes of Crawford Notch, students enjoyed a refreshing dip in a swim hole and tossed around the football. Between the trickling sound of running water, plenty of trail laughs, and the satisfaction of a post challenge day hike, we can’t wait to hear (and see!) more when this crew comes back into service.

Pyrenees Mountains & Coast (PMC)
Today, our PMCers took on another rewarding backpacking day, hiking 15 kilometers through the stunning mountains surrounding Espot, Spain to finish off their time on the CDF. With everything they needed carried on their backs, the group embraced the challenge together, encouraging one another along the trail and soaking in the incredible scenery along the way. As they settled in for the evening after another successful day on the trail, there was no shortage of smiles-or stories-to share.
