Alaska Mountains & Coast (AKMC)
Live from Seward…
Today’s top story comes from Seward, where our AKMC adventurers gathered for one final lunch before beginning their journeys home. Six students are taking off this evening, while the remaining four will head out tomorrow morning, bringing an unforgettable Alaskan adventure to a close. From backpacking through the wilderness and climbing glaciers (yesterday!) to exploring charming coastal towns and sharing countless laughs along the way, this group packed an incredible amount of adventure into just 12 days. As they say their goodbyes, they’re taking home not only amazing memories, but friendships and experiences that will last a lifetime.
Iceland Mountains & Coast (IMC)
Breaking News from Reykjavík…
Today’s top story comes from our Iceland Mountains and Coast group, whose unforgettable adventure officially came to a close as students began their journeys home. After days spent hiking across glaciers, exploring dramatic landscapes, chasing waterfalls, and making lifelong memories together, it was time to trade hiking boots for boarding passes. While the trip may be over, the stories, friendships, and incredible experiences from Iceland are sure to stay with this group for years to come. Safe travels home, IMC- we can’t wait to hear all about your adventure!
Maine Coast College Essay (MCCE)
One of our top stories from Maine…
After days of brainstorming, writing, revising, and encouraging one another, students put the finishing touches on essays that reflect their unique stories and experiences. This morning, the group gathered at the beautiful Giant’s Staircase to watch the sunrise and celebrate not only a successful week of writing but also the confidence and growth they’ve gained. In the afternoon, they conquered a wonderful hike before capping off an incredible experience with one final dinner together, reflecting on new friendships, meaningful conversations, and everything they’ve accomplished along the way.
Maine Coast Junior (MCJ)
Live from the Maine Coast…
This lively crew hit the road bright and early today, traveling from Acadia toward Brunswick as they continued their journey across Maine. Before they left Acadia, they squeezed in one more scenic hike, checking out the Ship Harbor Nature Trail and Bass Harbor Lighthouse, all while giving each other fun trail names! The excitement didn’t stop there- today also marked their email stop, giving students the chance to reconnect with family and friends and share stories from everything they’ve experienced so far. With another great day of adventure in the books and plenty more memories still to be made, the MCJ group is ready for whatever comes next.
Maine’s Downeast Explorer (DEX)
Reporting from Maine…
Today’s forecast in Maine called for one thing: preparation! After saying goodbye to Baxter State Park, our DEX crew made their way to the coastal town of Stonington, where they traded mountain trails for ocean views. The day was spent organizing gear, playing games, and getting everything ready for tomorrow’s paddling adventure. With excitement building, plenty of anticipation in the air, and another unforgettable experience just around the corner, this crew is ready to make a splash on the Maine coast.
New England Mountains & Coast (NEMC)
Reporting from New England…
Today’s headlines come from the Brunswick area, where our NEMC group traded mountain trails for meaningful service after traveling from the White Mountains. The afternoon was spent reading through their emails from loved ones and volunteering at Growing to Give, lending a helping hand while learning about the impact of local food systems and community partnerships. It was a rewarding opportunity to give back after days of adventure in the outdoors. With kayaking and a final dinner on tomorrow’s schedule, this group is making the most of every moment as their New England journey begins to wind down.
Pyrenees Mountains & Coast (PMC)
And finally, from Spain…
Today’s international report takes us to the vibrant streets of Barcelona, where our PMCers traded mountain trails for city sights. After days of backpacking through the stunning Pyrenees, students enjoyed time exploring one of Spain’s most iconic cities before gathering for a well-earned final dinner together. With departures beginning tomorrow, the evening was filled with laughter, favorite trail stories, and reflections on an incredible journey. From rugged mountain passes to bustling city streets, this adventure has been one to remember.
