It’s hard to believe, but we’re down to the final few days of the 2026 Apogee summer. Before the chapter of this Apogee summer officially comes to a close, let’s check in with our last adventurers and celebrate the memories they’re still making.

Maine Coast Junior (MCJ)

Today, our Maine Coast Junior adventure officially came to a close as students headed home after an unforgettable week together. From sunrise hikes in Acadia and afternoons by the ocean to new friendships, campfire laughs, and countless adventures along the Maine coast, this group made every day one to remember. While backpacks may be unpacked and hiking boots put away, the many memories made this week are sure to last long after the trip ends. Safe travels home, MCJ!

Maine’s Downeast Explorer (DEX)

After a bright and early wake up call on their island campground in Casco Bay, DEX paddled back to shore and then drove from the coast of Stonington to Midcoast Maine as they begun wrapping up an unforgettable adventure. After almost two full weeks of hiking, backpacking, and kayaking their way across some of Maine’s most spectacular landscapes, the group made the journey to Freeport for one last evening together. Between browsing local shops, sharing favorite memories over a final dinner, some delicious Ben & Jerry’s to celebrate, and a chance to reflect on everything they’ve accomplished, it was the perfect way to cap off an incredible week of adventure and friendship.

New England Mountains & Coast (NEMC)

Our NEMCers wrapped up an incredible journey and began making their way home today. After hiking through the White Mountains, giving back through community service, paddling together, and sharing one last dinner, the adventure has officially come to an end. Although the trip is over, the confidence, friendships, and unforgettable moments made along the way will travel home with every student. Safe travels, NEMC! We hope the memories from this week stay with you for years to come!
