Enrollment for our 2027 trips is open! Check out details on our early bird discount here to save $300 on your 2026 Apogee tuition and peruse our 2027 trip offerings (including a brand new itinerary!).

The birds are chirping, the sun is rising over the mountains, a fog lifts off the water… it’s another beautiful day on Apogee trips! With a new morning comes rest and relaxation in beautiful small towns for some, sunny mountain hikes with jaw-dropping views for others, and sea kayaking, rafting, or even soccer (World Cup, anyone?) for others. A fun summer adventure for all!

Skip to a Specific Trip: AKMC, AX, CSPR, CSVI, DMCC, ECC, IMC, MCCE, NEMC, NWMC, PMC

Alaska Mountains & Coast (AKMC)

Ahhh, rest days. Between the hustle and bustle of backcountry hikes, trail games, and chef-ing it up in the mountains, AKMC’s taking a breath before they dive into kayaking and glacial climbing! Their email stop was a wonderful chance to think fondly of home and take stock of their trip so far, while also enjoying all of the fun exploration and souvenir shopping this town has to offer. We’re cheering them on as the next half of their adventure unfolds!

Alps Explorer (AX)

That’s right–Alps Explorer is back! These brave navigators are on their way to the stunning Geneva, where they’ll begin their hiking in earnest after a train ride further into the mountains. And what a train ride: after a long day of travel, AX will be rewarded with stunning views of the incredible adventures that await them on the Tour du Mont Blanc!

Caribbean Service Puerto Rico (CSPR)

Day two working with local farms, and wow, are our intrepid CSPR students getting into the swing of things! Service this morning included awesome farming with Apoyo Mutuo Agricola. The afternoon’s fun in the Puerto Rican sun provided some great rejuvenation: ice cream, petting a bull, and a goofy group talent show!

Caribbean Service Virgin Islands (CSVI)

That’s a wrap on CSVI! What an incredible trip for the amazing beach-going, service-working, kayaking, and volunteering pros. Now departing for home, we’re so excited for what they’ll take from this amazing experience in the Caribbean and all the stories they’ll get to tell!

Dolomite Mountains & Croatian Coast (DMCC)

It’s Alta Via 1 Day 1! The Italian Dolomites have never looked so stunning as our Apogee travelers take their first steps on a 36-mile adventure: just check out those stark white mountains rising up behind blue lakes and alpine forests… not that we’re jealous or anything at all over here! These rockstars are taking on the mountains with such bravado: great work, DMCC!

Europe Coast to Coast (ECC)

Willkommen in den Alpen! or, Welcome to the Alps! Bikers on ECC got their first glimpse of the range today and wow: are we proud of them! The steady climb was met by great determination by these cyclist aficionados, who stopped into Lichtenstein for a well-deserved lunch break. Here’s to hoping the campground waterpark was as fun as it looks!

Iceland Mountains & Coast (IMC)

D-d-d-day hike!! The sights don’t stop with Iceland Mountains and Coast, whose day included an epic challenge hike amid craggy basalt mountains to spot waterfalls and sweeping views, before descending onto the glacial plain (the area left behind after a glacier recedes) for out-of-this-world landscapes. Seriously–it seems like another planet! The best part? They did it all in shorts and tees, enjoying the warm Icelandic sun! Great work to IMC, and enjoy your night of soccer and frisbee games in camp!

Maine Coast College Essay (MCCE)

It’s always hard to say goodbye: what a finish for Maine Coast College Essay! Waking up early to wave adieu to new friends, they also celebrated a birthday with a handmade poster almost comparable to their amazing essays. Safe travels and best wishes!

New England Mountains & Coast (NEMC)

NEMC is enjoying the fun, rain or shine, in some beautiful locales! Yesterday’s picnic lunch was preceded by a waterfall hike and followed by word games and a rainy evening spent making tacos! These creative adventurers made their own trivia game based on getting to know each other to end off the night! We’re so proud of their travels so far. Today, they got to enjoy rafting: tackling class 2 rapids in the Androscoggin River and celebrating with a lunch in the sun!

Northwest Mountains & Coast (NWMC)

Early mornings can be tough, but well worth it if you’re going… SEA KAYAKING! NWMC jetted off early to kayak, exploring the remote and beautiful San Juan Islands inaccessible to those who aren’t willing to put in the epic travel day like these kids are! Home to over 140 documented bird species and more than 260 plant species, they’ll get to explore islands left in a completely natural state. And tonight, they camp right on the beach: talk about incredible!

Pyrenees Mountains & Coast (PMC)

PMC knocked it out of the park today by crushing a challenging morning hike to reach stunning alpine views as they crested a mountain pass. As a reward, they reached an unbelievable campsite, right on the shores of a pristine lake! Scaling boulders, tackling slopes, having fun while doing it: we couldn’t be more excited for what’s next on PMC!
