It was sun, sun, sun on Sunday, Day 16 of trips this season— whether it was Iceland Mountains and Coast touching down in the land of midnight sun, Caribbean Service: Virgin Islands starting off with a splash, Maine Coast College Essay taking in a spectacular Maine sunset, or our European explorers cresting hills at sunrise— we all got a pocketful of sunshine all over the world!

Alps Explorer A (AXA)
Triumph in Trient! Today, our fabulous AXAer put the cherry on top of their wondrous trek around the legendary Mont Blanc. We are so, so proud of them and cannot wait to hear more about their adventures on the trail. Soon, their victory lap will take them back to Geneva, where they will reminisce on just how far they have come. To celebrate their last steps on the TMB, we couldn’t help but look back at our favorite unseen memories of their trek! Huzzah!
Alps Explorer B (AXB)
A sunrise hike, breakfast on a mountaintop, and the descent to Trient! As the sun faded in the valley of Martigny, the group of twelve said hello once more to Pink Church, where their journey began. Hard to believe that it’s been 10 days and over 100 miles since last they saw it! They headed to camp and prepared for their journey to Geneva tomorrow where they will celebrate all their amazing adventures of the trip!
Colorado’s Rocky Mountains (CRM)
Our amazing CRM crew woke up bright and early today and hit the trails. They put on some face paint and took on the challenge of today, Deer Mountain! After an amazing hike, they headed into town to do a grocery shop before heading back to camp. At camp they played a game of Mafia before cooking up a delicious camp dinner!
Caribbean Service Virgin Islands (CSVI)
Fun in the sun, sand, and sea! Today, our CSVI crew tested the waters of the Caribbean. After completing their swim tests, they spent the day snorkeling and playing games on the beach. In fact, we might have a new record for “most beach sports played in one day” as this crew simply couldn’t decide between volleyball, football, and spikeball! They spent the rest of the afternoon and evening settling into island life and getting ready for their first service project tomorrow. We won’t spoil anything quite yet, but we know it’ll be a fulfilling (and very cute) day! Stay tuned for more CSVI fun!
Europe Coast to Coast (ECC)
Sunday in France! Our ECCers woke up early and continued to take in the gorgeous French countryside on their bikes. Along the way they saw many adorable French farms! They logged about 98 kilometers on their journey to Venice, traveling to the town of Nancy for the night. At camp they cooked up a delicious dinner, and got ready for Bastille day (France’s independence day) which is tomorrow!
Iceland Mountains & Coast (IMC)
Welcome to Iceland Mountains and Coast 2026! IMC just touched down this morning and can’t wait to explore for the next twelve days! Our newest Apogee team was welcomed by their leaders in Reykjavik and spent the drive to their first camp taking in Iceland’s breathtaking landscapes, playing icebreaker games, and getting to know each other. Over the course of this epic adventure, they will encounter incredible hikes, explore glaciers, and chase waterfalls under the northern sun. We can’t wait to see what IMC gets up to in the coming days, but for now enjoy this snapshot of the gang meeting at the airport!
Maine Coast College Essay (MCCE)
Here comes round two of Maine Coast College Essay 2026! Today, leaders welcomed ten new writers to Brunswick for a week of thoughtfully working on their college essays while exploring the coast of Maine! Today was spent getting settled in their Bowdoin College dorm, playing classic Apogee games, and going on their first excursion (of many) to the ocean. In the coming days, this group will work with writing coaches, attend a college admissions workshop, hike, kayak, and make new friends along the way!
Pyrenees Mountains & Coast (PMC)
Hola from the coast of Spain! This morning, our crew set off in kayaks to explore the cliffs and coves along the coast. Upon their return to dry land, they had a picnic by the beach and headed into town to explore the amazing seaside of Spain. To round out this epic day they headed back to camp for games and a delicious dinner to round out the day!
