The fifteenth day of the 2026 Apogee summer brought new friendships, memorable milestones, and exciting adventures across the globe. From the U.S. Virgin Islands to the doorstep of the Pyrenees, Apogee students settled into their groups and got to know their new teammates. Meanwhile, students on our longest expeditions continued their adventures, exploring the breathtaking landscapes of the Swiss Alps and the French countryside.

Alps Explorer A (AXA)
The sun shone bright on Champex-Lac,
With mountain views at every track.
Our hikers wandered peaks so high,
Beneath the clear alpine sky.
They gathered berries, sweet and wild,
And paused to soak in nature’s smile.
With blueberries and strawberries too,
Each trail revealed another view.
Now lunchtime waits beside the shore,
Where sparkling waters call once more.
Feet dipped into the cool, clear lake,
A peaceful pause for everyone’s sake.
With full hearts and a slower pace,
They savored this enchanting place.
Tomorrow’s trails will soon appear,
But today’s memories they’ll always hold dear.
Alps Explorer B (AXB)
Ciao, Italy & bonjour once more,
To Switzerland’s majestic shore!
Today the team climbed ever high,
Where peaks reached up to meet the sky.
They crossed their final border line,
Then back to Swiss delights so fine-
Of chocolate sweet and watches grand,
With alpine charm at every hand.
They wandered down through valleys green,
Past mountain views like living dreams.
A bus ride later, camp was near,
With hot food waiting, warm and dear.
One final day, one last ascent,
To finish every mile well spent.
The Tour du Mont Blanc’s end’s in sight.
Let’s make tomorrow one to write!
Colorado’s Rocky Mountains (CRM)
Greetings from the Rockies high,
Where rugged peaks meet endless sky!
Now settled into mountain air,
Our crew set out to wander there.
They hiked beneath the Colorado sun,
Then cooled off by the water for fun.
Through Rocky Mountain National Park,
They explored from morning until dark.
In days ahead, they’ll climb and roam,
Making the mountain trails their home.
They’ll build endurance, strength, and skill,
Across each ridge and rocky hill.
With countless peaks still left to see,
The Rockies promise discovery.
Adventure waits around each bend-
And this is only the beginning, friends!
Caribbean Service Virgin Islands (CSVI)
Pack your shades and island flair-
Apogee has reached warm Caribbean air!
Welcome to St. Croix, bright and blue,
Where palms sway gently, and adventures feel new.
For nine full days, this talented crew
Will lend helping hands to important work too.
They’ll support local conservation with care,
Protecting the landscapes and waters they share.
Between the projects, they’ll splash and explore,
From turquoise waves to the sunlit shore.
And while they work, swim, learn, and play,
New friendships will grow stronger each day.
With purpose, teamwork, and plenty of cheer,
Their impact will stretch far beyond their time here.
We can’t wait to see what this crew can do-

Europe Coast to Coast (ECC)
After days of well-earned rest,
The gang set out with renewed zest.
From Épernay, they rode once more,
With spinning wheels and miles in store.
Along a peaceful canal they flew,
Past rolling hills and open views.
Their route then crossed the Voie Sacrée,
A road with history on display.
Along this storied road they rode,
Through landscapes rich with tales untold.
Where history and nature intertwine,
They pedaled on beneath the sunshine.
Soon they’ll bid la France adieu
And pedal on toward Germany too.
But first, one task before they go:
Eat every croissant they can stow!
Pyrenees Mountains & Coast (PMC)
Welcome to Catalonia’s shore,
Where new adventures wait in store.
Today, our crew at last did meet,
With smiles, new friends, and spirits sweet.
They settled in beneath blue skies,
Where sparkling waves and seabirds rise.
With Apogee in hats and hearts,
They played the day before it starts.
The sea breeze chased the jet lag free,
Across the bright blue Mediterranean Sea.
Tomorrow, paddles will dip below,
Where hidden coves and sea cliffs glow.
The coastline calls with tales untold
Of crystal waves and sunshine gold.
So rest tonight, for dawn will say:
“The kayaks launch- adventure awaits today!”
