In the spirit of many hellos today, the blog theme is famous songs or movies that include the word hello! You might have said goodbye to your kiddos, but they are having a ton of new, exciting and wonderful ‘hellos’ today! Let’s see what they’ve been up to!

Skip to a Specific Trip: MCJ, CI, MCCE

Maine Coast Junior (MCJ)

“You say goodbye, and I say hello!” – The Beatles

Today, the MCJ crew said hello to a week of fun, new friends, adventure and campfires! After finally meeting one another and their fearless leaders, this group bumped some tunes in the van while they headed out to their first campground of the trip. After arriving, they set up tents, played some games and started cooking dinner! After some stories around the campfire, everyone’s headed for a restful night of sleep under the stars. Tomorrow, this group is headed out for sea kayaking- check back in for some sick pics!

Cape Cod & the Islands (CI)

“Hello, is it me you’re looking for?” – Lionel Richie

… an incredible 10 days of biking around the beautiful, sunny Cape? Seems like CI is in the right place!

Today, the CI crew finally met each other and their sick rides for the week, their bikes! After feeling, in the words of their leaders, “excited and CAPEable”, the group headed to their campground in Falmouth. Here, they set up camp, played some ‘get-to-know-you’ games, listened to some sweet tunes and ate some delicious, nutritious food! We can’t wait to see what this group gets up to tomorrow in warm, breezy Martha’s Vineyard!

Maine Coast College Essay (MCCE)

“You had me at hello” – Jerry Maguire

You had me at topic development and essay construction, MCCE. With introductions under their belt, MCCE met with the Associate Dean of Admissions at Bates College to understand more about the college application process and what schools are looking for in a college essay. After filling their brains with knowledge, this group conquered a 3 mile hike at Laverna Point Preserve with some snack and game breaks throughout! What will these young intellectuals accomplish next?! Tune in tomorrow!
