Day 19 – Rolling Into Cities

With three trips pulling into their final destinations today, we have only five trips out there that are still on the move. We heard from seven of those eight groups today.  Here are the updates and pictures!

CI: Seen below on their ferry to Nantucket, the CI-ers moved on to their next island today. They’ll spend the next two nights in a wonderful hostel and plan to explore the island by bike tomorrow.

CSA: In Puerto Rico the group spent the morning working with Rangers in a Wildlife Refuge doing trail work, and then relaxed on the beach this afternoon. One more day of community service work tomorrow before the crew heads to San Juan for a final day of exploration on Wednesday.

PCA: Crossing the Golden Gate Bridge early this morning allowed the group to cruise into San Francisco by 1 PM, giving them the better part of today to have fun in the city. They might even get to spend a little more time with the other PC group, who….

PCB: …also made it into San Fran today! The picture below is from immediately before they crossed the bridge – everyone made it safe and sound into the city. Tomorrow both PC Groups will take in the sights, sounds and food of SF!

MSA: A relatively short ride into Whitefish meant that the MSA-ers became the third group of the day to reach their destination. Relaxing and swimming in Whitefish today will be followed by an excellent day tomorrow of exploration and celebration.

TSA: Laura & Pat’s crew rolled into Orbetello  on a mostly downhill ride that was much appreciated by everyone. They are now enjoying a swim in the Mediterranean and relaxing on the beach.  Tomorrow they’ll trade in their bikes for their suitcases before boarding a train for Rome and a final day together.  Sadly, we are without images for the TSA’rs today.

ACC1: With the wind in their faces and close to 100 miles to ride today, the group used the idea of an off day tomorrow to keep them moving forward.

ACC2: We’re famous!! Down in Clarksville, TX, our group met the mayor and was interviewed by the local newspaper. Not sure if the newspaper snapped a picture of Chris’s impressive feat of strength on their sign post…
