Alaska Mountains & Coast (AKMC)
Today’s Alaska Mountains and Coast trip was full of adventure! The group kicked off the day with a sea kayaking expedition, spotting seals, otters, eagles, and even porpoises along the way. After a scenic lunch and a short hike to a stunning waterfall, they made their way to camp, where they continued the exploration with an afternoon hike to visit an old fort. What a day filled with wildlife and history!
Alps Explorer A (AXA)
Today’s hike took our AXA group to a charming little village, with stunning views of a crystal-clear lake and the mighty Matterhorn in the distance. The leaders also introduced their group mascot, King Qui Qui Pierre the 13th, who’s already become a fan favorite! And of course, the students couldn’t get enough of the friendly goats along the way. The group rounded out the day of a solid dinner of burgers, s’mores, and a friendly day of volleyball too!
Alps Explorer B (AXB)
The group’s first full day in Zermatt was a perfect mix of exploration and nature. After getting acquainted with the charming village, everyone set off on a scenic day hike, taking in breathtaking views of the iconic Matterhorn. The weather was perfect for stretching their legs and soaking in the beauty of the Swiss Alps. Your humble blog writers are mighty jealous!
Costa Rica Mountains & Coast (CRMC)
The Costa Rica Mountains and Coast crew had an epic day catching waves! After their surf lessons, the group hit the beach, enjoying the vibrant coastal vibes. With a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation, today was a true taste of Costa Rica’s incredible surf culture!
Caribbean Service Puerto Rico (CSPR)
Today, the group teamed up with Martin for a rewarding morning of service, making a tangible impact on the local community. Afterward, they hit the trails for a hike to the stunning Cañon Blanco, where they cooled off with a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters. A perfect balance of giving back and soaking in the beauty of Puerto Rico!
Caribbean Service Virgin Islands (CSVI)
The excitement is building as students arrive today! Morgan and Emeline are excited to meet everyone and kick off this amazing trip. They group arrived and settled into their accommodations for a yummy dinner. Tomorrow, the crew will hit the water for a bio bay sea kayaking adventure!
Europe Coast to Coast (ECC)
What an incredible day for the ECC crew! They biked an impressive 89 km, pushing through scenic landscapes until they finally caught their first glimpse of the Alps! After a long-day’s ride, the group cooled off by taking a dip in a natural water park nearby their campground! It’s been a day of great cycling, new sights, and big milestones. Tomorrow, they conquer the Alps!
Iceland Mountains & Coast (IMC)
After an unforgettable journey through glaciers, waterfalls, and volcanic landscapes, the Iceland Mountains & Coast trip has come to a close. Students departed from Reykjavík today, filled with memories, friendships, and a deep appreciation for Iceland’s wild beauty. We’re sad to say goodbye, but grateful for every moment shared on this amazing adventure!
Maine Coast Junior (MCJ)
The Maine Coast Junior trip came to a close this afternoon after a week full of coastal hikes, beach games, and new friendships. It’s been a joy watching this group explore, grow, and have a blast together – and the Apogee office crew was even privileged to meet them when they swung by our HQ yesterday! We’re sad to see them go, but so proud of all they experienced and accomplished!
New England Mountains & Coast (NEMC)
The New England Mountains & Coast squad made the most of their final full day with a morning of sea kayaking along the beautiful Maine coastline. After soaking up the sun and ocean views – and trust me, it was a magnificent day for said sun and ocean views – they wrapped up the trip with a celebratory final dinner in Freeport. It’s been an unforgettable journey and an amazing group!
Northwest Mountains & Coast (NWMC)
The Northwest Mountains & Coast trip spent the day kayaking around the stunning San Juan Islands. After a shoreside lunch on the beautiful Strawberry Island, the group paddled back toward camp, playing kayak games, crabbing, and learning about local marine life like kelp and sea stars along the way. So… it was basically a perfect day in Pacific Northwest!
Pyrenees Mountains & Coast (PMC)
Today marked the group’s final day on the coast, and they made the most of it! After a scenic hike along the coastline, the crew spent a relaxing afternoon at Cala Tamariua, soaking up the sun and swimming in the clear Mediterranean waters. Tomorrow, they trade beach views for mountain peaks as they head into the Pyrenees!
