Alaska Mountains & Coast (AKMC)
Today AKMC focused on getting ready for what promises to be an epic experience ahead! The students tackled the less glamorous but necessary task of doing laundry and prepping all their gear for tomorrow’s big kayaking expedition. They also had time to explore the charming coastal town of Seward, Alaska. With everything packed and ready to go, anticipation is building for tomorrow’s kayaking adventure in some of the most stunning waters Alaska has to offer!
Alps Explorer A (AXA)
Alps Explorer is officially underway! After smooth arrivals at Geneva airport, our group took a breathtaking scenic train journey to Zermatt, with mountain views that had everyone glued to the windows. We wrapped up the day with some fun activities at the park, and everyone is already buzzing with excitement for tomorrow’s hike and catching some views of the famous Matterhorn!
Alps Explorer B (AXB)
Our second Alps group has arrived in Switzerland and what a day it’s been! These adventurous students enjoyed the stunning views of Lac Lemon as they traveled by train to Zermatt. As they arrived, the afternoon clouds gave way to reveal the group’s first glimpses of the iconic Matterhorn. See you can spot its peak in the photo!
Colorado’s Rocky Mountains (CRM)
The CRM trip has officially come to an end as all the students flew home today. After an incredible journey through the Rocky Mountains, it’s bittersweet to see this amazing group head back to their families. Safe travels to all our adventurers!
Costa Rica Mountains & Coast (CRMC)
Today the students tackled a beautiful hike through Rio Nuevo and tried their hand at fishing during lunch. While it might not be enough for dinner, the group celebrated the catch and the newest member of the troop. Tonight at their site, they’ll fall asleep to the sound of the nearby rushing waterfall as they drift off to sleep under the stars.
Caribbean Service Puerto Rico (CSPR)
Today the students spent the morning doing meaningful service work at Martin’s farm, getting their hands dirty planting seeds and contributing to this important agricultural project. Their hard work was rewarded with an incredible home-cooked Puerto Rican meal including but not limited to potato fruit (yes, potato fruit!). The afternoon brought them to a beautiful waterfall where they’re currently hanging out, soaking up the sunny weather and enjoying those perfect Caribbean vibes!
Caribbean Service Virgin Islands (CSVI)
What an incredible journey it’s been for our Caribbean Service crew in the Virgin Islands! As our group departs today, we’re reflecting on all the meaningful community work they accomplished and the beautiful island memories they created along the way. These students truly embodied the spirit of service while experiencing the beauty and unique ecosystems of the Caribbean. They should be so proud of everything they’ve given and gained during this special trip!
Europe Coast to Coast (ECC)
ECC hit a major milestone today as the group pedaled out of Germany and into Austria! The students crushed an impressive 115 kilometers on their bikes, with spectacular views of Lake Constance (Bodensee), Central Europe’s third-largest freshwater lake. They rolled into Bregenz, a picturesque city known for its summer music festival and beautiful lakeside setting where the Rhine valley meets the German Alpine foothills. After such an epic day of cycling, the group is thrilled to continue exploring new countries on two wheels!
Iceland Mountains & Coast (IMC)
Following a long ride this morning, the group got to stretch their legs and feel the icy mist of a gorgeous waterfall. Afterwards, they made their way into Reykjavik for their final night of celebration before everyone flies home tomorrow. As the trip comes to an end, our leaders are already feeling emotional about saying goodbye to this truly special group of kids who have made this adventure so incredible!
Maine Coast Junior (MCJ)
Maine Coast Junior had a meaningful day of giving back to the community in Brunswick at Grow to Give! Tonight they’re commemorating their final evening together by having a celebratory dinner to cap off what has been an incredible trip. It’s bittersweet to see this adventure coming to an end, but the memories they’ve made will last a lifetime!
New England Mountains & Coast (NEMC)
NEMC said goodbye to the beautiful White Mountains this morning and made their way to Brunswick for another day of adventure! The students started early with meaningful community service at Growing to Give, contributing to an important local cause. Tomorrow, they’re trading their hiking boots for paddles as they head out for sea kayaking. It’s the perfect way to experience Maine’s stunning coastal waters after spending time in the mountains.
Northwest Mountains & Coast (NWMC)
NWMC kicked off an exciting new chapter today as they met up with Moondance, their kayaking outfitter for the San Juan Islands! The students spent their first day paddling through these stunning Pacific Northwest waters, getting a taste of what promises to be an unforgettable island experience. Tonight they’ll be sleeping right on the island, and with their knowledgeable guide Sophia leading the way, they’re sure to learn all about the fascinating aquatic creatures that call these waters home. From mountains to sea, this trip just keeps getting better!
Pacific Coast (PC)
After pedaling hundreds of miles along California’s stunning coastline, our cyclists have officially completed an epic journey from start to finish. What an incredible way to experience the beauty of the Pacific Coast!
Pyrenees Mountains & Coast (PMC)
Today, the students helped make sure that Leader Nellie’s birthday was absolutely unforgettable! The day started with early morning birthday serenades and and a delicious breakfast before tackling a hot but gorgeous hike up to the Monastery Sant Pere de Rodes. Our speedy group even had energy left to explore the castles above for an extra challenge. After the descent, they enjoyed a perfect afternoon with beachside lunch, refreshing swim time, and even had some time left over to explore the charming town of Port de La Selva. The celebrations continued with a special fancy-themed dinner, more birthday singing over lemon pie, and plenty of silly games to cap off Nellie’s perfect day!
