Folks, we won’t lie. We’re going a bit crazy in the office seeing all of these trips reveling in such natural beauty and having so so so much fun. Not because we’re Debbie Downers (perish the thought), but because we wish we were out there too!! Perhaps this strange mood is why we’ve made the possibly insane decision to serve up today’s blog in LIMERICK form. Those familiar with this most controversial of poetic meters will either be groaning/eye-rolling/holding heads in hands OR jumping up and down with excitement at this news (like licorice, there’s no neutrality when it comes to limericks). We sincerely hope it will be the latter!

Alps Explorer (AX)
Towards the beautiful vale of Chamonix,
Our hikers descended, but didn’t ski.
They explored the town;
Not seen was a frown,
Wrapping up lovely TMB Day 3!
Colorado’s Rocky Mountains (CRM)
Rock climbing proved the Rockies’ name true,
As CRM belayed up for a view;
They ascended with ease,
Saw the trees, felt the breeze,
Leaving as a chalky yet happy crew.
Caribbean Service Puerto Rico (CSPR)
With service complete, it’s time to depart,
Though Puerto Rico stays close to each heart.
They worked with great pride,
Made friends by their side,
And carry those memories from the start.
Caribbean Service Virgin Islands (CSVI)
Our volunteers see to all St. Croix’s needs,
Helping out hatchlings and cutting down weeds.
Then time to relax;
Swim and tan to the max;
This service trip’s racking up their good deeds!
Dolomite Mountains & Croatian Coast (DMCC)
The Adriatic provides quite a coast
For sea kayaking, our campers can boast.
Swimming into a cave,
Ice cream they did crave,
Day ending with beach dinner and a toast!
Europe Coast to Coast (ECC)
Trentino: we all know, it’s primo.
Our bikers rode through and found their flow.
Wait, what’s that in the distance?
A big hill! What resistance!
But no match for our bikers’ gusto.
New England Mountains & Coast (NEMC)
All things must end, and so we bid farewell,
To our Yankish cohort, a trip so swell.
Leaving from Brunswick,
Their memories will stick.
What’s next for this crew? There’s no way to tell…
Northwest Mountains & Coast (NWMC)
In Seattle our Northwesterners dine,
Members trading tales while still they’re nine,
About the Cascades,
And their escapades.
Tomorrow, homeward bound on an airline.
Vermont to Montreal (VM)
And finally, a new trip begins!
With big rides, and big sights, and big grins.
Vermont to Montreal—
A bad time? Not at all!
