From Switzerland to Alaska, Maine, Colorado, Italy, and the Pacific Northwest, many new crews have kicked off their journey by settling into stunning campsites surrounded by towering peaks, coastal breezes, and ancient forests. A few have continued their journey, hiking and exploring their surroundings! They’ve all shared meals, played spirited games, and soaked in the excitement of exploring iconic landscapes in the days ahead. As night falls, every group drifts to sleep under new skies, ready for the adventures that tomorrow promises. Alaska Mountains & Coast (AKMC)
Welcome to Alaska, famed for its vast wilderness and glacial splendor. After a long day making the journey northward, our crew settled into their gorgeous campsite along the Eagle River where they ate yummy a dinner, played wonderful games, and got all cozied up for the night. Tomorrow, they embark on their first trek while scanning their stunning surroundings for exceptional displays of wildlife. For now, imagine a midnight sun above our voyagers taking their first sleep.
Alps Explorer A (AXA)
Welcome to the magical Switzerland! Today, our AXA troop boarded a train and road all the way to a cozy little town near Zermatt where they are taking in the epic views, outstanding peaks, and beautiful landscape as they begin to explore this new area! Tomorrow, they will set off gallivanting across some of the most magnificent trails that this area has to offer. Now close your eyes, and just imagine falling asleep at this breathtaking campground like AXA is!
Alps Explorer B (AXB)
Welcome to the lofty climes of Switzerland! Today, our brave explorers enjoyed a panoramic train ride that lent them views of shimmering waters, rugged peaks, and cliffside castles on the way to their stunning campground in Zermatt. Tomorrow, they will avail themselves of the spectacular trails that earn this area its reputation as a bucket-list destination for hikers from all corners of the globe. For now, enjoy these photos of the AXB Team and wish them a good night’s rest!
Colorado’s Rocky Mountains (CRM)
Welcome to Colorado, where the altitude is high, but the stoke is higher! Our fearless friends made their way out of Denver and into the mountains were they pitched camp right outside Rocky Mountain National Park. They cooked dinner together, learned some fun new games, and wound down for the night! Tomorrow they’ll venture out and explore some trails, but for now the mountains whisper goodnight, the stars shine bright, and our campers are all snuggled up tight.
Dolomite Mountains & Croatian Coast (DMCC)
Welcome to Venice, the floating city! After disembarking at Marco Polo Airport, our intrepid DMCC team grabbed some popsicles and fans to refresh themselves. Then, they headed to camp to regale each other with tales of their travels. Tomorrow, they’ll journey to the South Tyrol Region of Italy, the first stop on their grand adventure, where they will explore a unique area that stands at the gateway to the iconic Dolomite Mountains. Maine Coast College Essay (MCCE)
Welcome to Maine, the way life should be! After airport pickups, and parent drop-offs, everyone rendezvoused in the spectacular Brunswick for the start of their trip. MCCE has been busy unpacking, playing hilarious get-to-know-you games such as whosh, and settling in to make their first meal as a squad! Tomorrow they head out for their first writing workshop followed by a relaxing paddling session along Maine’s coast. For now, enjoy this phone of all these wonderful smiling faces right after meeting for the very first time!
Maine’s Downeast Explorer (DEX)
All aboard the Downeast Explorer! Welcome to Maine where this fearless crew loaded up their van and drove to a small coastal town where they set up camp in a beautiful sprawling field surrounded by trees. They have been busy scurrying around cooking up a delish dinner and playing epic get to know you games. Tomorrow, they begin their journey to Acadia where they will explore one of the most visited national parks in the country! Right now, they are getting nice and cozy as they start to settle down for this first extraordinary night!
New England Mountains & Coast (NEMC)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY and welcome to New England! This fantastic crew woke up bright eyed and bushy tailed before embarking on an epic excursion to the White Mountains for their first day hike! They celebrated birthdays, explored waterfalls, and sang it out in their very well decorated party bus. Tonight they continued the celebration and played awesome games and ate delicious food. Tomorrow they will darn their helmets and embark on a glorious rafting adventure.
Northwest Mountains & Coast (NWMC)
Up and at ‘em! Our Northwest Mountains and Coast friends hit the road early to scenic and ethereal Olympic National Park where they’ll be spending the next three nights. Today they set off on the Heart of the Forest Trail they wandered under the ancient old-growth forests where Sitka Spruces, Western Red-Cedar, and Western Hemlocks tower over overhead. Tonight they enjoy a delicious camp-cooked meal and gather their excitement to venture out again tomorrow.
Vermont to Montreal (VM)
Welcome to the land of maple syrup, Noah Kahan, and Ben & Jerry’s. Our bicycle bunch makes their debut on the beautiful winding roads of Vermont tomorrow, but tonight, they feast! After some lovely dinner and silly games, our bunch retired to rest before the first ride. When you see the sun tomorrow just know that VM saw it first along the outlines of the Green Mountains.
