Alaska Mountains & Coast A (AKMCA)
Today the crew explored Anchorage, the largest city in Alaska, learning about its history and seeing the sights! Did you know that Anchorage gets 22 hours of daylight on the summer solstice? The crew ended the day by sitting down for final dinner and enjoying a last evening together!
Alaska Mountains & Coast B (AKMCB)
AKMCB started their day volunteering with Anchorage Parks and Rec. They helped out with weeding and mulching a community garden and a playground! They spent the afternoon exploring the city of Anchorage and spending one final evening together. Did you know that Anchorage has some of the biggest tides in the world?
Costa Rica Mountains & Coast (CRMC)
The crew spent the morning playing soccer and going to the beach before traveling to Alajuela. They sat down for a final dinner and enjoyed a wonderful last evening together!
Caribbean Service Puerto Rico (CSPR)
CSPR spent the day exploring Old San Juan, seeing the sights, and learning about its history. Did you know that Old San Juan is the oldest city in Puerto Rico and has buildings dating back to the 16th century? The crew then sat down for final dinner and enjoyed one last evening together! What an awesome day.
Caribbean Service Virgin Islands (CSVI)
CSVI started their day volunteering with a sea turtle conservation group. St. Croix is a major nesting ground for three different species of sea turtles making conservation efforts here very important. The crew painted signs, and removed invasive plants. They then sat down for a final dinner and enjoyed one last evening in the Virgin Islands together.
Maine Coast College Essay (MCCE)
The crew started their day with a final writing workshop tying up their essays in preparation to share with the group tomorrow. They then headed off to the beach for a picnic lunch and swim in the afternoon and finished the day with a delicious dinner and some more writing. What a fun and productive day!
Maine Coast Junior (MCJ)
MCJ started their day under the stars and hiked up a mountain to watch the sunrise, becoming some of the first people in the country to see the sun this morning! They headed back to camp for a second breakfast and some rest before heading into Bar Harbor in the afternoon.
New England Mountains & Coast (NEMC)
After crushing Mt. Washington yesterday the crew got to see views of their accomplishment from the summit of a hike near pinkham notch! The team played games on the top and enjoyed lunch. The rest of the afternoon was spent swimming at Emerald Pools before returning to camp for the evening.
