Today’s adventures took many forms—paddling along the Maine coast, service projects in the Costa Rican rainforest, and heartfelt farewells in the Alps. Some teams are just hitting their stride, while others are closing the chapter on epic journeys. Whether it was hiking to waterfalls, prepping for the backcountry, or cuddling rescue pups, today was packed with purpose, movement, and memories.

Skip to a Specific Trip: AKMCA, AKMCB, AXA, AXB, CRMC, CSPR, CSVI, DEX, IMC, MCCE, NEMCVM

Alaska Mountains & Coast A (AKMCA)

Before their kayaking adventures commence, this team is enjoying the luxuries of laundry, an abundance of sleep, and exploring the beautiful town of Seward. We know these next couple days for our AKMC crew will be full of mountain views, glaciers, and unforgettable memories! We can’t wait to see their updates!

Alaska Mountains & Coast B (AKMCB)

As this crew gets fired up for three days of epic backcountry terrain, they are taking today to enjoy the scenic views of Eagle River on a day hike. After a day of hiking, this group will take time to prep – studying maps and packing up – while still leaving plenty of time to catch z’s before their backpacking adventures begin!

Alps Explorer A (AXA)

A trip full of summits, Alpine views, and memories to last a lifetime! We hate to see this Alps crew go, and we will miss them dearly. Congratulations, AXA!

Alps Explorer B (AXB)

So long, farewell, AXB! We know this team will miss each other, but we know they’ll look back on their days of hiking through Swiss valleys and over French mountaintops with each other for years to come. Congratulations!

Costa Rica Mountains & Coast (CRMC)

Settled into their rain forest section, these CRMCers started the day off strong with an amazing service project: building trails! Their hard work will go toward making a local waterfall more accessible to all its visitors. Way to go, CRMC!

Caribbean Service Puerto Rico (CSPR)

Another awesome service project, hiking, AND swimming? How do they do it all in just one day? This morning, our CSPR adventurers rolled up their sleeves again for another awesome day of service! After their hard work, they laced up their shoes for a beautiful hike in Canon Blanco, and to top it all off, an ocean swim! Keep up the great work, rock stars!

Caribbean Service Virgin Islands (CSVI)

This group spent their last day with Ruff Start putting in more work to give these adorable puppies (see photos) better days. Just when you thought it couldn’t get better than spending the day with furry companions, this team spent their evening watching the sunset and doing beach yoga– I mean c’mon! It’s been another dreamy day for CSVI!

Iceland Mountains & Coast (IMC)

Congratulations to this unstoppable group of glacier climbing, kayaking, trail-blazing legends! We know saying goodbye is never easy, but we know you’re leaving with full hearts, muddy hiking boots, and memories that will never fail to make you smile. Safe travels, IMC!

Maine Coast College Essay (MCCE)

These writers were back at it today, workshopping their essay ideas. After their morning workshop, they enjoyed an afternoon of kayaking on the stunning Maine coast! Fueled by paddling time, a yummy picnic lunch, and some time in the sunshine, these academics crushed another evening workshop. We know they are brainstorming some incredible ideas, and we can’t wait to see all the progress they make!

Maine’s Downeast Explorer (DEX)

Today our DEX squad began their kayaking adventures, paddling their way through Isle au Haut Bay like pros! Exploring one of Maine’s most magical coastlines, they spent the day cruising along the shore, doing beach cleanup on an island, and swimming in an old quarry! This team has an epic evening full of beautiful starry skies to look forward to.

New England Mountains & Coast (NEMC)

Our New England adventurers have officially hit the trail! A day of hiking to the beautiful Arethusa Falls, trail snacks, and too many fun games to count… I think it’s safe to say we all wish we could be NEMC students!

Vermont to Montreal (VM)

After crushing more mileage this morning, these cycling legends got into camp early, with plenty of time to relax! This crew spent the afternoon taking some well-deserved napogees followed by some water park swim time. Our VMers will be zipping into their sleeping bags early tonight to ensure they catch many z’s before their big day of biking tomorrow!
