Alps Explorer A (AXA)

Excitement Reaching Record Levels as the TMB Approaches!

Well folks, our AXA crew is certainly ready to take on the Tour du Mont Blanc. After arriving in Martigny, these voyagers spent the afternoon playing some soccer, hacky sack, and card games in the park before heading to camp to rest up before the start of their big journey. I don’t know about you, but I’m waiting with baited breath to see what’s in store for these guys!

Alps Explorer B (AXB)

Bienvenue en France, Alps Explorers!

Alert the masses—day 1 of the TMB is done and dusted! This group of hikers CRUSHED their first of the Tour du Mont Blanc, arriving in France in the highest of spirits. They put away 14 kilometers and had a quick stop at the pink church. So classic. What a day! I mean look at those views! Absolument magnifique!

Colorado’s Rocky Mountains (CRM)

Climbers Conquer the Rocky Peaks of Colorado

Our CRM crew ROCKED this rock climbing day (see what we did there)! They enjoyed an epic day of scaling walls and growing together as a crew! Another day has come and gone out in Estes Park, and these climbers have made memories that will last a lifetime. Cannot wait to see where this scoop takes us next.

Costa Rica Mountains & Coast (CRMC)

On the Trails and Into the Clouds!

In the heart of Costa Rica’s Cloud Bridge Natural Reserve, our CRMC crushers had another action-packed day soaking up the best of the tropics. They wandered through the charming village of Conan, enjoying pastries and charcuterie along the way, with a frisbee break, of course. A few daring adventurers took a dip in the river, while the whole crew conquered a rain-soaked hike. Talk about making the most of the moment!

Caribbean Service Virgin Islands (CSVI)

Planting Trees and Making Waves in the Virgin Islands

Hot off the press our hard working crew down in the Virgin Islands put in the work this morning, helping the Ocean Foundation. Together, with tools, many hands, and stellar vibes they worked planting trees. Our crew was rewarded by some epic bird sightings and a trip to the beach. I guess it’s true what they say about many hands making light work…

Europe Coast to Coast (ECC)

Ferries, nature, bikes, oh my!

ECC had a busy busy day with a few stops along the way. Their last full day in the Netherlands required a quick ferry ride and called for a stop at a nature conservancy, all while crushing 88 miles. They persevered through a small bout of weather and are now sound asleep in their tents. With their first rest day in sight, we can’t wait to see what Belgium brings—stay tuned!

Maine Coast College Essay (MCCE)

Hiking and Hitting the Paper: Students Summit Essays and Trails

Today our eager essayists put in the work in the classroom, making lots of progress on their papers before heading out for a gorgeous hike along the ridgeline coast. They also enjoyed a gourmet day, having a charcuterie lunch followed by a delicious picnic dinner! A truly perfect day if you ask this journalist, I mean, what more could you possibly ask for!?

Maine’s Downeast Explorer (DEX)

Hikers Head into the Heart of the Backcountry

Backcountry already?? Time sure does fly when you’re absolutely crushing the miles. This crew has been finishing hikes at record-breaking speeds and we’re sure the AT will be no different. We’ll miss seeing their smiling faces for the next few days, but we’ve gotten word that they’re settled into camp and having a blast! We can’t wait for the AWESOME photo dump when they get service again! Coming soon…

New England Mountains & Coast (NEMC)

NEMCers Conquer Mount Washington, Defying the Elements and Reaching New Heights

Well folks, this NEMC group has blown me away today. They absolutely killed Mount Washington, and despite some fog at the top, they caught some amazing views along the way. With waterfalls, peaks, and valleys they saw it all. With lots glitter and some big old smiles on their faces it looks like this crew not only tackled this epic hike but had fun doing it! Consider this challenge day CRUSHED!

Northwest Mountains & Coast (NWMC)

Students Embark on Kayaking Adventure Along Washington’s Scenic Coastline

This just in, the coast of Washington continues to take our breath away. As if we haven’t seen enough beautiful views from this crew over the past 6 days! These paddlers will be spending the next two days out on one of the San Juan Islands, taking in the forested landscape and all of its unique features (including a salmon hatchery!). We can’t wait to see what this adventure will bring!

Pacific Coast (PC)

Taking a trip down memory lane…

Another epic day in the books for these PCers. 38 miles of quintessential Oregon views later, they made it to camp SUPER early and were able to spend the afternoon playing games for a bit. To make an already awesome day even better, the crew recreated a picture taken 6 years ago (last photo) when support leader Henry was a PC student! Such a fun full circle moment. Thanks for sharing, Henry!

Pyrenees Mountains & Coast (PMC)

PMC Students Awestruck by Spain’s Breathtaking Views

Well, isn’t this just the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen! PMC spent the day hiking up to the Monasterio de Sant Pere de Rhodes AND they opted to push through the challenge section to see some castle ruins. Mountains, oceans, historic sites–this day had it all. Also…do you guys see those matching jerseys? Looks like we’ve got some Lamine Yamal enthusiasts in the mix!

Vermont to Montreal (VM)

Bikers Give Back With Community Service in Vermont

After a beautiful morning ride along Lake Champlain, our stoic VMers made it to the Intervale center where they traded in their bikes for tools as they helped weed and mix soil for crops. I don’t know about you, but I’m starting my countdown to Canada tonight! With a well-deserved rest day on the schedule tomorrow, we can’t wait to see this group continue cruising.
