This week brought unforgettable experiences across mountains, coastlines, and vibrant towns. Whether climbing rock faces in Colorado, snorkeling in the Virgin Islands, or exploring European villages on two wheels, our groups embraced challenge, connection, and discovery. Here’s a glimpse into the amazing journeys unfolding all over the map.

Alps Explorer A (AXA)

The group made their way down into Chamonix, a picturesque town set beneath the towering Mont Blanc. They spent the day exploring its charming streets and soaking in the spectacular views of the Glacier des Bossons and Glacier du Tacul. It was a memorable day in this stunning French alpine town.

Alps Explorer B (AXB)

Today’s hike offered the group stunning views of the Aiguille de Bionnassay as they hiked through a lush, wooded trail at lower elevation. Their route wound through the mountains, passing by small, remote villages and crossing peaceful streams along the way. It was an adventurous and scenic day in the heart of nature.

Colorado’s Rocky Mountains (CRM)

Since regular hiking trails have been too easy for this adventurous crew, they took things up a notch as they scaled up some sheer rock faces this morning with some rock-climbing! After a fun and challenging climb, the group headed into Estes Park for a relaxed afternoon filled with games, laughter, and time to soak up the mountain-town vibes.

Caribbean Service Virgin Islands (CSVI)

It was another beautiful day in the Virgin Islands as the group continued their service work with the Ocean Foundation, supporting turtle nesting efforts and learning about local marine conservation. In the afternoon, they set out by boat for an unforgettable snorkeling adventure at Buck Island Reef National Monument, exploring vibrant coral reefs and spotting colorful marine life in the crystal-clear waters of the Virgin Islands.

 

Europe Coast to Coast (ECC)

Today was a big downhill ride as the group continued their journey through Europe. With the towering Alps fading into the rearview, the scent of the sea and the anticipation of reaching Venice grew stronger with every mile. Spirits were high as the landscape began to shift and the adventure rolled on toward the coast.

Iceland Mountains & Coast (IMC)

The Iceland crew kicked off the day with a walk through town before meeting up with their guide for a morning of sea kayaking beneath the stunning backdrop of Mt. Kirkjufell. Paddling through the calm bay waters, they took in the dramatic coastal views. In the afternoon, the group explored more of the town, hiked to the beautiful Grundarfoss waterfall, and wrapped up the day relaxing on the beach.

Maine Coast College Essay (MCCE)

This college-bound crew got their creative juices flowing today in a morning essay workshop, followed by an inspiring college admissions session with Anne Springer. In the afternoon, they enjoyed a quick hike at Bradbury State Park before wrapping up the day with games on the Bowdoin quad during golden hour, balancing hard work with some well-deserved fun. 

Maine’s Downeast Explorer (DEX)

After gathering the crew and making their way up the scenic coast of Maine, DEX is off to an awesome start! For their first full day, the group headed to Acadia National Park, where they stretched their legs on a short hike and then cooled off with a refreshing swim in the clear waters of Echo Lake. A perfect intro to the adventures ahead in the great Maine outdoors!

Northwest Mountains & Coast (NWMC)

It’s bittersweet to say goodbye to an incredible NWMC crew. After two unforgettable weeks filled with hiking, paddling, exploring, laughter, and so much more, the group is heading out to carry their adventurous spirit back home. Here’s to the memories made and the journeys yet to come!

Pyrenees Mountains & Coast (PMC)

It was an early start for the PMC crew as they set out on a big day trekking toward La Torre. Along the way, they were rewarded with a breathtaking sunrise, painting the mountains and clouds with a warm morning glow. Afterward, they explored the charming town of Espot and treated themselves to some delicious gelato. Tomorrow marks their final day, a perfect time to celebrate all they’ve accomplished in vibrant Barcelona.
